Eleana obtained the DasArts Master of Theatre from the Amsterdam School of Arts in 2016. In 2009 she completed her BA in Dance and Choreography at Bath Spa University, UK.
She has been working as a professional performer since 2004 and has been making her own work since 2011. Her work, ‘In Wonder(?) Land’, was presented at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival 2013 and the Operaestate B-Motion Festival 2013 in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Her work ‘In a nutshell’ premiered at the ‘Sexpecations’ Open House Festival 2015 in Cyprus and shorter versions of it at the Come Together Festival 2015 in Amsterdam, the Visibility 2016 program in Cyprus and the Voices of Resistance Festival in Cyprus.
She completed her master with the performance ‘Part 3: How to enter a kiss’, a trio that formed her first directing work. The last years she has been developing her own way of writing that is based on spoken word, the rhythm and sound of language. She writes in greek and english.
In 2014, she was part of the artistic research group of the European Cultural program ‘Songs of my Neighbours’. In 2012, she took part in the European Program ‘Leonardo Da Vinci’ with training and research in Poland in collaboration with the Centre of Performing Arts MITOS and Polish theatre company Sztuka Nowa. She received the DanceWEB scholarship in 2013.
